A Global Tourism "Must Do"


National Geographic has acknowledged something we have always known -  The publication has named the Murray River in its "Best of the world destinations 2025" where it was included in the top 25 global locations.

The Might Murray River is in the company of other locations which include

The approximately 2,700KM long Murray River is diverse and one of the longest navigable rivers in the world.

From its beginning in the mountain ranges with unique flora and fauna to the wide sweeping beaches through the Mallee region and then as the it makes its way to the South Australian mouth, the Murray River changes its look and feel every step of the way.

It's home to some unique species, non more famous than the magnificent Murray Cod, which can be found on its entire length.



The Murray River is the life blood of the town's that sit along its banks and provides life to crops and
valuable income  from tourism. the river is host to a number of activities from fishing and yabbying, boating, camping, bushwalking and much more. 

Locals have a unique connection to the river, but many visitors also draw a connection and find themselves returning time after time.
