Mildura's marquee weekend has been struck a major blow as the Mildura Ski Club has had no choice but to cancel what is arguably the biggest event on the Mildura sporting calendar.
The Mildura 100 Ski Race, (which attracts over 600 competitors every year) said on their Facebook page that "Ski Racing Australia (SRA) has put a hold on all competitive ski racing in Australia until June 30 2025, while a special purpose investigation is undertaken with NSW Maritime."
This comes following a number of tragic events in the sport where competitors have lost their life. Although the two Mildura races (Mildura 100 and the Murray Darling 110) have seen no catastrophic events, SRA deemed an investigation necessary before any further events take place. Therefore the Mildura 100, the Murray Darling 110 and Echuca Southern 80 will not be held this season.
The Easter Power Sports won't look the same without the Mildura 100, but every effort will be made by organisers for the event to return in 2026.

Meanwhile, there will still be plenty of motorsports action over the Easter long weekend with Mildura Motorcycle Club hosting events as well as the Sunraysia Drag Racing Club and B&S Earthworks Timmis Speedway who will host one of the biggest events on the Speedway events calendar with the Australian Modified Production Title. This event will attract teams Australia wide and will provide some thrilling racing over the Easter weekend.
There has been no word on what the Good Friday Show n' Shine will look like this year that is held in Mildura's City Heart, but one can only imagine that it will still be massive with plenty for motor sport enthusiasts to view.
